Pumpkins:
Students are able to use real or plastic/fake pumpkins to show off their creative decorating skills. Students may paint and decorate a one-of-a-kind pumpkin for this event. Please NO CARVED pumpkins. This is a great creative hands-on activity for your entire family to enjoy together during the month of October. We ask that on the back or bottom of the pumpkin to please write your child’s first and last name on it. 

When:
Students can bring in their pumpkins for display in the front hallway starting the week of September 30 until October 30th. 

When Can I Pick Up My Child’s Pumpkin? 
    All students who participate in this event are asked to have their pumpkin picked up from school no later than November 2nd.

We’re excited to announce that our Fall Carnival will be held a little earlier this year to avoid overlapping with homecoming and other seasonal events.

Join us on Thursday, October 16th from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM for an evening filled with fun, games, and excitement for the whole family!

This year we will have food trucks providing food option that can be paid for with cash or debit card on the night of carnival. They will also be donating a portion of their profit to JSA. 

We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

We’re gearing up for our Cake Walk Extravaganza and are seeking generous donations from our amazing families!

Please check your child’s backpack for the purple flyer that was sent home. If you didn’t receive one or have questions, feel free to call the front office to let us know you’d like to contribute.

Cake Drop-Off:
You can bring your cake donations to the front office early on Friday, October 16th.
We’ll also send out reminders to those who sign up to donate.

*Please remember school appropriate clothing and shoes are required. All students not following guidelines will be sent to the office to call home.

We would like to invite you to join us for a special community screening of My Ascension, hosted by the Berwick High School Hope Squad on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Berwick Civic Center.

My Ascension is a powerful documentary about a Louisiana high school cheerleader who survived a suicide attempt that left her paralyzed. The film follows her journey of recovery and her mission to raise awareness about suicide prevention, mental health, and the importance of asking for help.

This event is appropriate for teens and older, and we would love to extend the invitation to you, your school staff, students, and families throughout St. Mary Parish. We believe it can provide an opportunity for our community to come together, start meaningful conversations, and remind young people that they are not alone and that asking for help matters.
