🔷 Assistant Superintendent of Operations (effective June 8, 2026)
🔷 Principal of Patterson High School (effective July 1, 2026)
🔷 Supervisor of Child Welfare and Attendance (effective July 15, 2026)
Potential Openings:
Directors, Chiefs, Supervisors, Coordinators, Principals, Assistant Principals, Instructional Specialists, Liaisons, Data Analyst (academics).
Posting these positions does not guarantee that vacancies currently exist but allows the district to establish a pool of qualified applicants for potential openings.

This is a great opportunity to obtain a Commercial Driver's License and join the SMP team as a bus driver.

Requirements:
- Must be fingerprinted and cleared by June 4, 2026, to attend.
- $54.50 fingerprint fee.
- Must be at least 23 years old.
- Must pass CDL physical.
- Must be able to pass background check.

St. Mary Parish ACT Prep Opportunity: St. Mary Parish is offering a FREE ACT Summer Booster to help students prepare for the July 11 ACT.
This is open to students entering grades 9–12 for the 2026–2027 school year in SMP public high schools who register for the July 11 ACT.
Space is limited to 50 students per site and is first come, first served. The deadline to sign up online is June 10. Transportation will not be provided.

The School Board approved a modification to the last days of school.
🔷 Thursday, May 21, 2026 - Last day of school for students. It will be a FULL day. Students will receive report cards.
🔷 Friday, May 22nd - Teacher records day. No students.
🔷 Tuesday, May 26th - At-Home Teacher & Paraprofessional In-Service Day. Mandatory CPI Training. Details will be emailed.
